PART A: ICT Strategic Plan 2020-2025
A large clothes retail chain is looking for solutions to several of their problems. Currently the retailer only has manual tracking of their inventory and a significant portion seems to go missing either in transit between the warehouse and stores and from instore theft by customers.
The store is also seeing a move to online retail and the CEO would like to gain some insight to the changing patterns in sales from individual customers to target marketing. He will also like information to decide which are the most profitable areas to expand into and which should be scaled back.
There also seems to be often excess inventory requires sales to clear stock. The CEO is interested in ideas on how IT can be used to better manage inventory and prevent the need for big discounts on clothes prices during end of season sales.
The CEO has asked if there are better options than the current company owned tablet devices staff use to check inventory and competitor’s prices.
The core element of this assignment is the development of ICT strategic plan with features of innovation, planning and implementation of a true revolutionary organization in 2025. Think ahead and imagine 2025.
